Benjamin Zachariah discusses the personal and academic life of the historian Partha Chatterjee in a recent article for the Indian webmagazine Raiot. According to Zachariah, Chatterjee’s critical assumption in the news outlet The Wire on the Indian army using human shields in Kashmir led him to write this article.
Partha Chatterjee is a professor for anthropolgy at the Department of Middle Eastern, South Asian, and African Studies (MESAAS) at Columbia University and an Honorary Professor of Political Science at the Centre for Social Sciences Calcutta.
